LABOR CERTIFICATION/PERM is a program which allows a skilled worker (sometimes even unskilled workers) to be sponsored by a business in order to obtain legal permanent residency. Additionally, dependents of the applicant will also receive legal permanent status. Dependents are spouses and children if under 21 yrs. old.

The LABOR CERTIFICATION program was created to help the employer when there is a shortage of legal workers in the US, to fill the open positions. The employer is permitted to sponsor skilled workers from all over the world, as long as they can prove they have two or more years experience in the field they are being sponsored.

There must be a solid relationship between the sponsor and the worker, as this process requires total commitment from both sides. In the end, this is a win-win situation for both sponsor and individual intending to immigrate.
